Progressive Reduction (23/09/20)
A sexy latina girl who did choose to get some limb reduction...
I wonder which option she went it at the end ?

Here'sa small story from @TempRay he wrote when he saw that pic.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Arisa was not your typical idol. She didn’t have the silky smooth hair that her fellow idols did, nor was her skin as pale and refined. Her hair, despite undoubtedly having hours of grooming put in, seemed to dance whimsically on her head, as electrifying as the songs she put out. Her lightly tanned body was muscular and lean, giving her a boyish charm that instantly differentiated her from the sea of smaller, more petite bodies. While other idols might have gotten corrective eye surgery or opted for contacts, Arisa opted for her old pair of glasses. The thick rimmed glasses that encircled her sharp piercing eyes gave her a carefree air of coolness that no other idol could.

Despite all her differences, nobody could deny that Arisa truly belonged where she did as she beamed at the crowd, surrounded by all the other armless girls.

Arisa’s father was a foreigner so Arisa always stood out among her classmates. She didn’t mind the eyes on her though, in fact she relished it. She liked being the center of attention.

Arisa was in high school when she first got a taste of idol culture. She felt her eyes drawn to the beautiful girls performing on stage, dancing and singing. Some of the girls were missing limbs, a symbol of their success, and Arisa couldn’t help but stare. There was something about the way they carried themselves that was breathtaking. If only she could turn heads like that!

Arisa was the type of girl that if there was something she wanted, she would find a way to get it. She was undaunted by the quick dismissals that she received from her applications. She knew she wasn’t exactly the type that recruiters look for but eventually her bold and straightforward attitude got her into the White Cats, a small idol group.

She stood out of course, by being nearly half a head taller than the other girls. Her voice was lower and huskier, yet the contrast between the other idols and her only made Arisa stand out even more. Arisa only stayed in the White Cats for less than half a year before being scouted and picked up by the Tigers, a more mainstream idol group. By this point, she had already started developing a small yet quickly growing fanbase, so being picked up by a larger group only meant her popularity skyrocketing.

She was allowed a lot more creative freedom and she took full advantage of it. Arisa experimented with using her lower voice to produce vocals unheard of before. She played with different musical styles as well as incorporating different moves into her performances. Her unorthodox style became her main selling point and it was strangely gripping, enthralling new fans each day to her unique songs and style.

It wasn’t even a full year when Arisa joined the Tigers when she achieved the first idol milestone, getting an album to the number one spot. Arisa knew more than anyone what that meant: the main difference between her and most of the other idols in the group would be the fact that she would have one fewer limb.

The actual process itself was quite clinical and sterile, but she basked in the glow of camera flashes and media attention that awaited her afterwards. She would wave with the arm she had left as she fielded questions and interviews. When she twirled, she made sure that the long sleeved jacket she had picked out would spin around her, the empty sleeve swaying in the wind. One of the most iconic photos taken around this time was during the end of an interview there was a gust of wind and her jacket fluttered, threatening to expose her missing limb. When this was pointed out to her, Arisa shook what was left of her shoulder, letting her jacket fall, flashing her freshly bandaged stump. She also took this opportunity to look straight into the camera, place her finger to her eye and stick out her tongue in a defiant taunt.

Despite her frivolous behavior in public, Arisa was still the same hard worker when it came to practice. She only spent a week recuperating from the loss of her arm before heading back into the studio.

Still, she was emboldened by her accomplishment and made a few subtle changes to her appearance. Her messy hair was trimmed shorter for a more energetic look, and the rims of her glasses made thinner to accentuate her sharp gaze. She would also place a larger emphasis on the accessories of her remaining arm, such as rings, bracelets, or long flowing sleeves, all items she used to ignore. She figured that she might as well get the most out of her arm while she still had it.

Getting used to dancing and singing with one arm was less difficult than she imagined. There felt something so right about holding the microphone in her hand while there was a lighter sense of airiness on her other side. Arisa’s first taste of success had lit a fire inside her and she wanted to quickly hit the next milestones and become like the more famous idols who were missing even more limbs.

It took a little over a year for Arisa to hit her next milestone. Such speed was almost unheard of, yet the way she moved on stage with only one arm was stunning. Her movements were bold and flashy, and she danced as if her handicap had always been a part of her.

The adjustment to having no arms at all was more difficult than her first amputation. Arisa had prepared for it, but being completely armless was a world apart from still having one hand. Arisa had to learn to do things with her feet, and she had to get used to the sense of weightlessness that appeared in her wobbling steps. Delicate actions done by her toes was not her style, but Arisa was not the type of girl to let that deter her. Never for a moment did she fear that being armless would be a major hindrance in her day to day life. After all, being an idol was her life.

It took over a month for the recuperation of her second amputation, but she jumped straight back into the limelight as she announced that she had signed on with the Sky Herons, a major idol group where every girl was missing at least one limb. There was no denying this relative newcomer’s growth and fame.

It was during this time that Arisa would push the limits of what would be allowed in idol culture. She embraced the rebellious different attitude that was expected of her and it showed through her promotions. Provocative, unconventional, and oddly titillating, were the words used to describe her, and she certainly played up the role. An album featuring a front shot where she had her tongue outstretched with a loose top threatening to fall off from the smooth surfaces where her arms used to be? Of course she did. Her outstretched tongue had become a symbol for her defiance and difference, and she didn’t mind one bit now that she had no hands to gesture with.

Conversely to the rough and daring image that she gave off in promotions and interviews, Arisa was experimenting again with different techniques and styles during this time and had settled on a more delicate approach, perhaps a bit inspired by some of the other girls in the group, especially the ones missing three or four limbs.

Arisa tried singing different songs, such as themes of love, that when filtered through her voice sounded less like a sultry seduction than an innocent romance. Her lack of arms led her to explore more focus with her legs, incorporating dances and jumps to her routine that made her seem like a dancer. Long sleeves flowing where her arms used to be gave off an elegant atmosphere that complicated her coordination and precision.

Arisa was probably well along her way for hitting her third milestone if it weren’t for the scandals that had now reared her head. Perhaps it was the jealousy of the other girls in her group, or it was the xenophobia, but the rumors that had quietly swilled seemed to reach a boiling point. People speculated about Arisa’s family having connections that helped boost her popularity, and there were whispers that she had a secret boyfriend. More outrageous claims such as ones where she was spotted with prosthetics chipped away at her popularity. Her fame was now being used against her and it reflected in her sales. Not one of her singles was able to hit the top spot for a year. In addition to this, her dad’s foreigner status was used against her when a local politician used her as an example of immigrants taking away native jobs.

Sky Herons was placed in an uncomfortable situation. There was now more bad press and Arisa’s numbers were slipping, yet she still had an undeniable fanbase. The controversy however, was also affecting the other girls’ sales, and the plummet of their numbers was much harder to recover. Arisa was suggested to resign, to depart on good terms and end her career as an idol on good terms, but giving up was never her style. So they fired her.

When an idol was fired, some of her achievements would be stripped away. Limbs lost would be reattached, perhaps historically as a way to give back crippled girls some independence. Now it has become a symbolic gesture to show that the company no longer wanted anything to do with them, an ultimate display of rejection. Sky Herons owned the right to her right arm, so it was announced that the group would be returning it, cutting ties with her. Arisa didn’t fight the decision.

In one of her last interviews before disappearing from the public eye, Arisa was asked for her thoughts about the whole situation. She gingerly raised her new hand with some effort before brandishing a middle finger and giving her signature outstretched tongue.

There were those that tried to emulate Arisa’s unorthodox style in the years during her absence, but none amounted to much success. Every one of them lacked an aspect of Arisa’s charm and nobody could quite capture what made her so special.

Arisa herself would later state that these years were the worst of her life. The fact that she only got one arm back made it so that each day she would see a symbol of being cast out. A single arm also was not enough to get her old life back, and the struggle of doing everyday tasks was another reminder of her not belonging. The arm felt almost like an anchor to her, weighing her down and holding her back from her dreams.

Nobody was quite ready for her comeback. It was completely unheard of for an idol to ever go back to the industry after being fired, but Arisa was not like most idols. Using just what was available to her, Arisa had recorded, edited, and uploaded a completely independently produced album onto the internet. This time, her songs were darker, more somber and heavy than anything she had done before. There was the hint of sadness in her beautiful quivering voice and her slow dances. The raw emotion and feeling poured in was simply overwhelming.

To say it became an instant hit would be an understatement. Her album became the most talked about thing in the idol and music circles for weeks. Discussion also reignited about her unfair firing and her possible return. Old and new fans alike came out in droves to support her.

Technically, there was no stipulation that an album had to be produced conventionally to hit the idol milestones, and there was also no actual requirement of needing to be with an idol group to receive it. Indeed, with all the fervor surrounding Arisa, she qualified for the third idol milestone by having an album sit at the top spot for a month. There were people betting on which leg she’d lose along with her arm but she shocked everyone by keeping her arm.

Her arm, she explained, was a reminder, but also a motivator for her. Her remaining limb, once a shameful symbol of rejection was now a stab at the Sky Herons for casting her out. As various idol groups scrambled around themselves trying to pick her up, Arisa had become a widely known icon of defiance and unexpected success. What better way for her to show that than with an album cover featuring her sitting proudly on her new stumps flipping the bird with a stuck out tongue?

A wheelchair was a big change, but Arisa adapted to it quickly. The loss of her legs actually gave her an unparalleled sense of freedom because it brought her back into the world she was familiar with. She was smaller, lighter, more free. Under the flashing lights and awestruck gazes of her fans, her only limb being the hand holding the microphone, this was where she truly belonged. The only thing she looked forward to now was being freed of her arm as well, devoting her whole body to being an idol.

It was no surprise what her response was when asked how ready she was for hitting the final idol milestone.
